A half hour bus ride from Hoi An is Da Nang. Didn’t know much about it when we arrived but it’s a city – there’s things to do, right? Wrong. The Cham Museum (which we really couldn’t be bothered to visit based on the typical Vietnam Museum) and, well, bowl of Phở anyone?
The dinner we had from a restaurant on the river was rubbish and way overpriced, the draught Tiger beer was flat, overpriced and I got into a row with the ugly Vietnamese bitch when I asked for a bottle instead, and it turns out Banana Cake in Da Nang comes flat like a cracker covered in single cream. Who knew?
One night was more than enough and we scattered onto Hue by bus for 60,000d, three hours further up the coast – our hotel quoted 150,000d each and weren’t very friendly about it either. Don’t waste your time here, stay in Hoi An longer.
